Net::Err_Cert_Date_Invalid Issue: Fix it Now!

Net::Err_Cert_Date_Invalid Issue

In this article you will find out:

  • how to deal with this issue
  • how to protect your data

Are you ready? Let's read!

If you got the “NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID” error on your PC while browsing, it could be a “cached data” issue or your internet connection is not strong. Another thing that may cause the error is when you’re trying to visit a website Google believes to be inappropriate. So to say, the error typically appears on Google Chrome or Chromium browsers.

How To Fix This Error?

1. Clear Browser Cache

To get started, you need to clear your browser’s cache. Clearing the cache can be done from the browser’s Settings page or press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL to launch the “Clear Browsing Data” page.

2. Uninstall and Reinstall The Browser

If the issue persists after clearing your browsing data, the next alternative is to uninstall the browser and reinstall it. This simple trick has helped quite a lot of people fix the “your connection is not private err_cert_date_invalid” error.

3. Turn Off Windows Firewall Protection

Many Windows PC users do turn on Windows Firewall as a means of protecting their systems from malware. Well, while that is a good act, sometimes, Windows Firewall can block certain features and apps from functioning well on your PC. So, deactivate Firewall and try to access the website again; hopefully, you won't get the error again.

4. Change Your DNS Preferences

Open the Network & Sharing settings option in Control Panel and go to Change Adapter Settings. Navigate to Properties and click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4). Again, go to Properties and change the DNS server addresses to 8.8.8.8 and/or 8.8.4.4. Apply the changes and restart your PC.

5. Adjust Network Settings

When you've tried all the methods above and it seems not working, the next is to adjust your PC's network settings. This can be done from the Network & Sharing Center in Control Panel. Disable the following options: Network Discovery, File and printer sharing, and Public Folder Sharing.

Need To Roll Back OS Update? Make Sure Your Data is Safe

The final solution to fix this error might be to roll back your Operating System, but this can cause data loss, and you surely don't want that to happen. Thus, to be on the safe side, you need to back up your files and data using a reliable software solution.

DiskInternals Partition Recovery is an ideal software tool you can use for this purpose. It is basically a data recovery software but doubles as a reliable tool for creating data backups on Windows computers. This software is dead-easy to use, and you can create multiple backup copies for free.
